Sarah Simmons
Sarah has had 25 years experience working as an actress in
theatre, film, TV and radio. She has worked in most areas of the
theatre, from repertory to fringe and was a founder member of Peter
Hall's National Theatre Company on the South Bank, before
touring extensively in the UK and Middle and Far East. In 1995
after working with Ridley Scott as a dialogue coach she took the
Post Graduate Voice Study Course at Central School of Speech
and Drama. Her work as a dialogue and voice coach is varied.
She works with children, actors, private clients, Foreign English
Speakers, as well as faciliting courses for Crystal Media and
Tattersall Training for a wide range of clients including: The
Foreign Office, The National Health Service, British Telecom, Abbey
National, GlaxoSmithKline, Greenwich Housing and Hackney
Council.
Her work covers confidence building, vocal clarity, accent work, as
well as Effective and Advanced Speaking Courses, Public Speaking,
readings and auditions.
Recently Sarah qualified as a TEFL Teacher at International House
London, to underpin her voice skills when working with people where
English is their second language. Sarah encourages people to enjoy
voice work which is not elocution but a wonderful opportunity to
find your best voice in order to communicate accurately with
clarity and confidence what you want to say in any situation. She
continues to work with professional actors and has worked at RADA
and for the Ambassador Theatre Group.
